Quarry Park & Nature Reserve is located two miles from the soap
makers’ childhood home in Waite Park. Within its 643 acres are prairie, woodlands, a wetlands boardwalk, a scientific and nature area, the
Liberty Derrick once used to lift and load granite and thirty quarries. Park
goers can hike, bike, swim, fish, scuba dive, rock climb and watch the abundant wildlife.
